Falling Euro is an absolutely natural factor - ECB's Noyer

FXStreet (Mumbai) - The single currency is expected to fall further given the weak growth in the Euro zone, the European Central Bank (ECB) Governing Council member Christian Noyer told Europe 1 radio.

Key Quotes:

"The falling euro is an absolutely natural factor because growth is weak in the euro zone and needs to become more dynamic,"

Looking ahead, the Bank of France said this year had "all the advantages" to be a good year, with oil prices falling and the euro weakening. But he said a positive outcome depends on whether "we make the reforms that are necessary for growth to return."

However, he declined comment directly on next week's Governing Council meeting in Frankfurt because of the "blackout" period. Still, he promised that "we will do what it is necessary to do" to raise inflation and stimulate growth.
