EUR/GBP back below 0.8000

FXStreet (Córdoba) - The EUR/GBP broke below 0.8000 during the European session and recently bottomed at 0.7975, reaching the lowest price in a week. Currently trades at 0.7980, down 0.28% for the day so far.

A strong Pound amid better-than-expected data from the United Kingdom pushed the EUR/GBP to the downside and back below 0.8000.

EUR/GBP eyes 2014 lows

Price has been steady in the last hours, moving between 0.7985 and 0.7975. Today’s slide brought the price closer to 2014 lows that lie at 0.7958. If it trades below it would be the lowest since September 2012.
